Crocodile Dundee (1986)
Director: Peter Faiman
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Another hick hits another big city. Having shown our hero to be master of life in the outback, the film whisks him off to New York, which he takes in his easy stride mainly by refusing to notice it's all that different from what he's used to back at Walkabout Creek. Permanently unfazed, overcoming all adversity with casual efficiency, Dundee wards off audience displeasure by intimating that although he may be the real thing he's also a bit of a con-man. A canny construct is old Crocky, and a star-maker of a role for bronzed, wiry Hogan.Author: BBa
