The Cyclone (1996)
Director: Leonardo Pieraccioni
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A huge hit in Italy (indeed, the biggest local box office smash ever), this simply doesn't travel. The 'cyclone' is a touring flamenco dance company whose bus breaks down in an insular Tuscan town. Our accountant hero, a flustered romantic, puts them up in the family barn. He has an idiot brother who sleeps in a coffin, a butch lesbian sister, and a sex mad friend - he doesn't seem to know anyone who isn't a stereotype. The endless stream of avuncular ribaldry occasionally hits paydirt, but only if you have the patience for it.Author: TCh
