Lame thriller about an English art expert on the trail of some priceless antiques in North Africa (including the jewel-studded allegorical creature of the title), but crossing the path of a gang of gun-runners. At least there's Anouk to look at, along with some photogenic locations, and Howard gives a sturdier performance than the material warrants.Author: TM
