Gone with the Train (1998)
Director: Igor Sterk
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Centred on the 'silent movie'-style relationship of a sad, recently fatherless fellow and a girl on the move, this almost wordless Slovenian fairy tale takes a slow train journey through a golden-hued land and a nation's worth of character types and traits. It covers the ground, but so superficially (at least from a non-Slovenian vantage point) that it's of painfully little use as a guide to understanding.Author: GE
