The Great Muppet Caper (1981)
Director: Jim Henson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Second big screen outing for TV's favourite inanimates, with Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo as reporters intrepidly investigating the theft of jewels belonging to Rigg, an international couturière soon being besieged by Miss Piggy as an aspiring model. The songs are routine, but the inconsequential plot leaves plenty of time for engaging asides like the blandly silly dinner-table dialogue between a well-bred couple (Cleese and Sanderson) determined not to notice that their home has been invaded by little furry creatures. Or a charming moment when Kermit and friends tangle with a fold-up bed which shuts them away into the wall. Pause, then a contentedly muffled, 'Hey, this is nice!'Author: TM
