Gypsy (1994)
Director: Emile Ardolino
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A second adaptation, this time for television, of the musical on the life of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee is a traditional genre piece in '40s mode. Midler's hellish showbiz mom steals the picture against not much opposition.Author: JBa

- Posted on Sep 08 2009 16:05 The part of Mama Rose was made for bette Midlers incredible talent. She explodes onto the screen in this film and is fantastic all the way through. Ms. Midler knows how to take a part in a film and make it her own, and she definitely Aced this one.
