Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Masquerading as a brainless assembly of lavatory and graveyard gags, this often reveals itself as a charming and witty farce, far closer to the British music hall tradition than the Carry On series ever managed to get. The high school jocks are unfashionably conformist, their chief project being a 'Scenes from Shakespeare' festival. Even the humiliation of bible-bashers, Klansmen and oily politicians stops short of outright cruelty. The set-piece finale of misery being heaped upon a lecherous councillor belongs to the girl of the group, the inexhaustible Kaki Hunter. Only an opening montage of clips binds this movie to its inferior parent, though we're clearly presumed to have seen it.
