Power Play (1978)
Director: Martyn Burke
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Tedious, glib and reactionary, this hovers in CIA fantasy land (Mission Impossible time warp). In an anonymous European banana republic, an idealistic young WASP military junta overthrow a corrupt and fascistic civilian government of Balkan villains. Despite O'Toole's endearingly ironic performance as the double-crosser in the pack, the moral remains objectionably circular: 'change breeds reaction, so join the reactionaries'. Miss it.Author: CA
