The Happy Family (1952)
Director: Muriel Box
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Another Ealing-style triumph for the 'little people' (adapted by Sydney and Muriel Box from a play by Michael Clayton Hutton): Holloway and family barricade themselves in their grocery store when the authorities inform them it has to be demolished to make way for an access road to the Festival of Britain site on London's South Bank. Nichols is fun as a spiritualist spinster, but otherwise there's not a great deal to celebrate.Author: TJ
