From Time Out Film Guide

West German, or schnitzel Westerns, have never had the crossover appeal of the spaghettis, but there was quite a sub-genre there for a while. This is an obscure, moderate adventure, with McClure as a fur-trapper battling the elements and sundry villains to sled a sick boy cross country for medical treatment.
