Hercules Returns (1993)
Director: David Parker
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Brad (Argue) is booted out of the Kent Cinema Corporation, a heartless multiplex monolith, and fights back by reopening an old-fashioned picture palace with the help of projectionist Sprocket (Spence). But evil boss Sir Michael Kent tries to scupper them by ensuring that their trash-fest opener, Hercules, is supplied in the original Italian without subtitles. What to do? Why, dub it themselves of course, live from the projection box. Actually, this pretence doesn't hold up. But the merciless caricature of these baby-oil poseurs is pretty irresistible.Author: SFe
