Hit! (1973)
Director: Sidney J Furie
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Furie continued his association with Williams, Pryor and Hampton from Lady Sings the Blues into this over-stretched vendetta action movie, which also overdoes the improvised jive-talk comedy relief in its yarn about a renegade federal agent (Williams) forming his own ad hoc revenge squad to take out nine Marseilles heroin dealers after his daughter ODs. Furie's penchant for silly camera angles and meaninglessly arresting images is here muted, but not replaced by much of distinction.Author: PT
