Matinee adventure material (from a novel by Will Henry) blown up to deliciously absurd proportions, as the gold-lust clichés tumble from Carl Foreman's typewriter to be treated by the assembled stellar multitudes as if they were fresh-minted bullion. Peck's sheriff has The Map, everyone else wants it. Everyone double-crosses everyone else. And in the Lost Canyon of Gold there's...(wait for it)...an ironic Conclusion.
