The Magic Bow (1946)
Director: Bernard Knowles
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The life and loves of violin virtuoso Paganini, heavily fictionalised to include a duel and the pawning of his beloved Stradivarius. Hokum, of course, but lent bravura by Knowles' vivid direction and camerawork (he also made the wonderful Jassy for Gainsborough), and just a touch of authenticity by having Yehudi Menuhin ghost the fiddling.Author: GA
