Written and produced by former Hollywood actor Michael Pate, and starring his son, this is yet another slice of Aussie nostalgia, with the wide-eyed lad about to come to manhood as he and the century move into their late teens. The inevitable acquisition of wisdom is aided by a collection of veteran Queensland small-town eccentrics, notably grandma (Fitzgerald) and a professor (former ballet star Helpmann).Author: PT
