Men of Two Worlds (1946)
Director: Thorold Dickinson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Three years in the making, Dickinson's film survived the loss of filmstock and equipment when a U-Boat sunk their ship en route to locations in Tanzania. What remains is a well-intentioned, slightly musty drama exploring the clash of science and superstition in colonial East Africa, where a witch doctor refuses to let commissioner Portman evacuate his tribe to escape the sleeping sickness sweeping his village. These days though, it all looks a bit patronising.Author: TJ
