The Milk of Human Kindness (2001)
Director: Dominique Cabréra
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
If the film as a whole never quite lives up to the promise of the opening few minutes, this is nevertheless an engrossing, perceptive study of a woman who suddenly cracks and mysteriously leaves home and baby; her husband has no idea where she's gone, and the people who take her in have no idea what's wrong with her. Director and co-writer Cabréra traces the effects of her actions on a variety of people with wit, subtlety and assurance, while her superb cast does the intelligent, credible script ample justice.Author: GA
