Mourir à Tue-Tête (1979)
Director: Anne-Claire Poirier
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Harrowing rape movie (based on fact) in which the victim's life disintegrates as a result. It's dreadful as cinema (over-acted, obsessed with realism), but excellent as a case-example of Brownmiller's thesis - that rape is never the product of desire but a brutal and symbolic assertion of sexual oppression. Uncomfortable viewing for any man.Author: CA
