Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Patchy Lloyd talkie in which he rather drags out his all-American boy characterisation as an aspiring actor summoned to Hollywood by mistake but winning out in the end (discovered as a natural comedian during his disaster-prone attempts at being a heart-throb). Improving after a slow start, it has some fine sight gags, notably a cleverly sustained 10-minute elaboration of the magician's coat routine, inadvertently worn by Lloyd to a party and producing things that cause endless embarrassment.
