A boy befriends his 60-year-old great aunt Joaquin in the Mexican town where she lives with her nephew and his wife. She a kind, generous soul, but somewhat crazy, with a fixation on Tom Mix Westerns. When bandits drive into town in a Model T, help comes from an unexpected quarter...well, not that unexpected, actually. A charming conceit, well acted but sluggishly paced, and as sentimental as the B Westerns it holds dear - developed through the Gabriel García Marquez script workshop.Author: TCh
