Santee (1972)
Director: Gary Nelson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Soft-centred Western. Ford, close to pensionable age, plays a gnarled, misanthropic cowboy whose values have been warped by the murder of his son. All he wants out of life is to hunt down outlaws with high prices on their heads. After killing a renegade, he adopts the man's homeless teenage son. Gradually, his bitterness thaws and he forgets his grudge against the world.Author: GM
