Slabolepszy is a foul-mouthed unemployed white racist, Kani the manager of a Johannesburg diner and the victim whom he singles out for abuse. Slabolepszy created the role in his own play, which he adapted for the screen with co-star Flynn, and though time and politics have moved on, the film version stands as a concerned reminder of South Africa's bitter divisions.Author: TJ
