Sentimental Journey (1946)
Director: Walter Lang
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A domestic drama in which a Broadway actress (O'Hara) succumbs to a heart complaint of which her doting producer husband (Payne) is miraculously unaware, yet in the meantime she's adopted orphan Connie Marshall and trained the child to care for the old boy after she's gone. The film is more or less the epitome of '40s slush. Depending on temperament, it's either vastly enjoyable as camp spectacle, or steadfastly resistible as cheesiest hokum.Author: TJ
