The Slightly Pregnant Man (1973)
Director: Jacques Demy
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Demy's usually feather-light touch deserts him with this clodhopping farce that hectically proceeds nowhere from a motive idea/image that only someone like Marco Ferreri should really have had: a pregnant Mastroianni, getting over morning sickness and into modelling 'paternity' clothes, before an inevitable anticlimax. A few limp forays into a philosophy of societal imbalance are belied by the overall stultifying air of comic convention.Author: PT
