The Slipper and the Rose (1976)
Director: Bryan Forbes
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A musical version of Cinderella that looked redundant before even leaving the starting-blocks. Despite all the critical plaudits (a misplaced patriotism?), it's top heavy, over-lavishly mounted, full of unmemorable songs in the Disney vein by Richard and Robert Sherman, and moves at a snail's pace. In a coasting cast, only Annette Crosbie as the harassed Fairy Godmother manages to alleviate the gloom.Author:
