Slow Attack (1980)
Director: Reinhard Hauff
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
In which art (violent criminal fresh out of jail writes a book about a kidnapping) mirrors crime (his doomed partner carries out the job for real). The irony inherent in the plot's development is horribly overstated in the climax, but more disturbing is the lack of distance established by Hauff from the protagonist's macho problems. Gays and women versus leather jacket and cratered face results in a thriller with possibly 'limited appeal'.Author: SJ
