Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Do we need yet another lone cop movie? This time it's Bronson uncovering an underworld plot to take over part of the Mafia. Winner manages to make Bronson look dull even by his standards (which is some feat), and resorts to formula car chases (which he handles with more flair than he does actors). There's a picture of America that occasionally phases into near fantasy, and one or two nice moments: like the ex-Vietnam soldiers brought in to execute the coup, and the ending where the Mafia leader, with a lot of blood on his hands, confesses a string of venial sins to his priest. A serviceable thriller, but a few weeks later you won't be able to remember a thing about it.
