I Died a Thousand Times (1955)
Director: Stuart Heisler
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
While not a patch upon Walsh's version of WR Burnett's High Sierra, of which this is a remake, there are still entertaining moments in this tale of a con out to pull one last bank job before retiring. It's often too talky and lethargically paced, but Heisler has an enthusiastic eye for spectacle (notably in the climax up in the mountains), while Palance and Winters, though no real replacement for Bogart and Ida Lupino, demonstrate their own rough charm.Author: GA
