From Time Out Film Guide

A rather puzzled study of Italy's north/south divide by means of three intersecting characters: Luigi (Orlando), a middle-aged Turin businessman whose roots are in Calabria, his disaffected teenage son Matteo (Cirio), and Rosario (Raso), a sullen, troubled lad whom Luigi meets on a trip home and attempts to take under his wing. It's not the most compelling device, and writer/director Calopresti never gets underneath the trio's ennui - Luigi's disillusionment with his corporate colleagues is a particularly opaque subplot - but the steady pacing and level, confident acting means that they're at least intriguing enigmas.
