It Happened Tomorrow (1944)
Director: René Clair
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An engaging fantasy about a cub reporter (1890 period) granted a peek at tomorrow's news by a ghostly old man who presents him with newspapers a day ahead of schedule. The resulting scoops bring him star status and a load of troubles, culminating on the third day with headlines accouncing his own death: a rendezvous which he tries frantically - though with unexpected results - to avoid. Not always as inventive as it might have been, but an elegantly beguiling movie.Author: TM
