Raw Deal (1986)
Director: John Irvin
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Stone-faced shoot-'em-up in the implacable Chuck Norris/Steven Seagal mode. Arnie's recruited by his old FBI boss McGavin to break up crimelord Wanamaker's Chicago drugs gang, which he does by inveigling himself into the role of Mr Big's bodyguard and routing the villains from the inside. There follows the machine-guns in both hands trick, dumb wisecracks, and the requisite drive-the-truck-through-the-building set piece. None of it delivered with Commando's tongue-in-cheek sense of the absurd.Author: TJ
