In a homestead in the timberland of Northern California, a small girl (Richards) has not spoken since encountering a cougar two years before. Now the mountain lion's back. Amy's two brothers have tamed a wild yellow dog, Boomer, which at the Thanksgiving Day climax sees justice done. A Disney programmer (little seen after its initial release) in which ageless old timers enact an undiluted fundamentalist parable and a graceful big cat is regarded as nothing less than a 'heathen devil'.Author: JPy
