Romance and Rejection (1997)
Director: Kevin W Smith
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Very Nick Hornby, but some way short of the real thing. Mike - 36, single, and unhappy about it - hasn't had much luck with the fairer sex since his mother abandoned him and dad back in the dark ages. His congenital jealousy is the problem, though it should be said neither of his current hot and cold girlfriends wins marks for consistency. Dinsdale lacks the charm to allow us to overlook Mike's failings, and the big emotional scenes with the parents are heavy handed.Author: TCh
