Rumba (1935)
Director: Marion Gering
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Criminal waste of the delectable Lombard, once more playing second fiddle to Raft at his most repellently lounge lizardish in this follow-up to their inexplicably successful Bolero. Even the dances (again performed mostly by doubles) are shoddy this time round, while the fatuous plot oozes sluggishly to a climax in which Raft defies a supposed death threat from gangsters to go on stage and perform a dreary rumba routine.Author: TM
