Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

A concise essay on maps and orientation, made in the context of a cartography exhibition at the Pompidou Centre, this is a slightly flimsy fantasy that covers some of the same ground as Greenaway's A Walk Through H, but with less conviction. A man finds himself embroiled in the board game 'Le Jeu de l'oie', first across Paris, then on a cosmic level. Some of Rivette's fictions, like Le Pont du Nord, have covered similar ground more convincingly; but the footnotes from Borges, et al, are informative, at least.
