An impressive film, this sharply conceived yet sympathetic look at a group of autistic children uses formal experiment (elements of documentary, avant-garde and narrative cinema) to reflect the alienated world of its subjects. Images and sounds build up to the obsessive isolation of the film's climax: a representation of 'tunnel vision' which turns the metaphor outside in and takes you with it.Author: HM
