Johnny 100 Pesos (1993)
Director: Gustavo Graef-Marino
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A heist on a high-rise black market bank goes wrong, presenting government and police officials with a tricky prime-time hostage situation. While the gang sweat it out, the media go into a feeding frenzy, particularly regarding schoolboy crook Johnny (Araiza). Inspired by a 1990 Santiago news event, this Dog Day thriller is cynical and relatively slick, but not especially compelling or original (it perhaps seemed more daring back in Chile).Author: TCh
