Accumulator 1 (1994)
Director: Jan Sverák
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Despite its strong designs and evident ambitions, this bizarre blend of sci-fi thriller, romance and comedy is too incoherent - indeed, too obscure - to succeed as anything other than a curiosity. It has something to do with the vampiric, energy-draining powers of TV (or is that of voyeurism in general?); it's probably an allegory about complacency, enthusiasm and commitment - though it's hard to say for sure.Author: GA
