Air Force One (1997)
Director: Wolfgang Petersen
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Kazakhstani terrorists hijack Air Force One, the presidential 747, and the leader of the Free World puts his life on the line to rescue family and staff, then wrests control of the plane from maniac beardie Oldman. The early suspense stuff inside the plane is competently done. Ford (in Jack Ryan mode) hides in the bowels of the jet and draws on his own resources to work out the next move. Meanwhile, back at the White House, Vice-President Close runs the joint as political vultures jostle for position. Imagine Die Hard in a Jumbo plus action highlights from Airport 1975.Author: TJ
