Alone (2001)
Director: Phil Claydon
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Derivative of its familiar American counterparts, this serial killer movie has something of a '70s atmosphere in its take on the genre and a formal quality in its PoV camerawork. The seriously disturbed Alex, moulded by childhood trauma, is searching for a special woman to take away the pain. But they all fail, and so become part of the problem. Whether it thrills or not will depend on familiarity with the models, but, given Claydon's tender age of 24, it's a confident debut.Author: GE
