The Americano (1954)
Director: William Castle
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Ponderously dreary Western made before Castle decided to ape Hitchcock. Ford delivers three prize bulls in Brazil, finding the buyer mysteriously murdered and tangling with bandits amid exotic scenery. The movie was a Budd Boetticher project; he directed the Brazilian location footage, but was replaced by Castle for the Hollywood studio scenes.Author: TM
