Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

After running the box office of an independent cinema in Barcelona for 34 years, Anita (Sardà) is urged by her boss to take a two-week holiday. On her return she finds the cinema gone and no job for her in the multiplex rising in its place. Haunting the building site, Anita falls for the driver of an earth-mover. The ground duly moves, but Anita's beau is a married man. A likeable film with a light touch and a delight in Hollywood references. Cinema Paradiso, however, it is not.
