Pretty much of a swashbuckling potboiler aside from the switch of having Peters, spirited but not entirely convincing, as the bloodthirsty (but she has her reasons) pirate chief. Not one of Tourneur's better films, although he does give it some of the same colourful bounce as The Flame and the Arrow.Author: TM
