Annie Oakley (1935)
Director: George Stevens
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Stanwyck's first Western (of sorts), aptly described as Annie Get Your Gun without the songs. Not strong on fact, and inclined to string out the tiresome twists that attend the crackshot lady's rivalry/romance with the resident sharpshooter (Foster) when she joins Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. But Stevens turns it into a nice piece of nostalgic Americana, and Stanwyck is great.Author: TM
