From Time Out Film Guide

Arregui is a plodding middle-aged functionary in the Argentinian Supreme Court who's just about to embark on the worst day of his life, the culmination of which will make him headline news. It's a good-natured comedy, even if the laughs often misfire, but it never manages to make us care about any character and the awkward mix of farce and pathos certainly won't be to everyone's taste.
