The Aurora Encounter (1986)
Director: Jim McCullough Sr
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Ever desperate to find that new miracle formula, the producers of this concoction have come up with ET drops in on The Little House on the Prairie. In a spaceship that resembles an antiquated vacuum cleaner, a particularly ugsome midget scarifies the denizens of Aurora before discovering a predilection for beer, checkers and cigars. Soon after rescuing some silly children from the local caves, the alien prangs his vessel and dies. Or does he? For small children this variation of a threadbare theme will have a certain charm, but adults are advised to watch it on video with a finger on the fast-forward button.Author: MS
