Hoping to marry Mobley, yet desperately short of money, Adams' Dillinger attempts to rob her father's grain store. He's sent to prison where his association with Conrad's Pretty Boy Floyd and Ashley's Baby Face Nelson later sparks a crime spree that's to make him the Most Wanted Man in America. Unexceptional crime biopic, lacking the kind of compelling '30s detail seen two years later in Bonnie and Clyde. The brassy score is by jazzer Shorty Rogers.Author: TJ
