Kid Blue (1973)
Director: James Frawley
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A magical Western, this companion piece to the marvellously eccentric Steelyard Blues features Dennis Hopper as a one-time minor desperado, turned would-be solid citizen and failing manfully. Calmly orchestrated by Frawley, who transforms even the smallest of parts into a rounded character and allows his story-line to develop out of those characters, Kid Blue never strains for meaning; even the web of references to the Greece of mythology is never too pointed. Oates, Boyle, Ben Johnson and Janice Rule offer solid support.Author: PH
