Kiss of the Dragon (2001)
Director: Chris Nahon
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A sorry martial arts movie in which, once again, an Oriental supercop (Li) is sent on loan to tackle crime in the West. Here the streets he's cleaning up are those of a very normal and unthreatening Paris. Set up by Karyo's spectacularly bent cop, Li races against time to clear his name, rescue a junkie prostitute (Fonda) and kick most of Paris into tiny pieces. The fight scenes are sliced up by flashy quick cuts that reduce Li's awesome athleticism to little more than the backdrop to an MTV video.Author: WI
