Tapdancin' (1980)
Director: Christian Blackwood
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Blackwood (director of the slick and snappy Roger Corman: Hollywood's Wild Angel) has rather irritatingly tailored his fascinating documentary on the dying art of tap dancing for sale to American television. Again and again, his (unlabelled) clips of tap veterans in action are cut short. But the film at least displays an intriguing sense of cultural ironies: the skill's black origins and its appropriation by whiteys.Author: RM
